The truck chassis that
Winnebago built the motorhome on was donated by Iveco
Australia and Rob Sinclair, Dealer Principal of Stillwell
Iveco also presented Sandra with a BBQ saying “Iveco is
proud to be associated with Winnebago and the Great Outdoors
in providing a great prize to such a wonderful person”
The Winnebago Freewind B2362
that Sandra won is a 7 metre luxury motorhome driven on a
standard car licence and incorporating such features as an
electrically operated queen size bed that moves down from
the ceiling at the touch of a button.
It is fully air conditioned
with a ducted heating system, a large refrigerator, fully
equipped gourmet kitchen, hot and cold water, shower and
flushing toilet, LCD television with built in DVD player, a
comfortable lounge and even an inbuilt set of walkie
talkies.
Outside, the motorhome offers
plenty of convenience to enhance the relaxed way of life
motorhomes offer, with large storage bins, a wind out
awning, TV Aerial, an external entertainment system, towbar,
rear ladder, roof rack, BBQ fitting and even an outside hot
shower.
The Winnebago Freewind is built
on a powerful Iveco Daily 3.0 litre turbo diesel chassis
with automated manual transmission, two airbags, power
windows, power steering and central locking. Other features
include cruise control, hill hold, ESP, air conditioning and
a full AM/FM/CD sound system.
OAMPS Insurance brokers and
Winnebago Insurance provided comprehensive insurance for the
first year and the Winnebago RV Club gave Sandra three years
free membership.
Sandra and Bob will be
attending the wedding of one of their children shortly and
then they are off to take in the sights and sounds of all
that Australia has to offer and to call in to see their
children, many of whom live in different parts of Australia.
“Not sure when we will be back” laughs Sandra “but I cant
wait to get started” she said.
