TESTIMONIALS
Hi Kalha and Margie,
Well we are back from our Tasmanian odyssey and in Melbourne for a few weeks before heading north to thaw out our bones.
We are much more savvy with the working of the winnebago now and have had a wonderful time in the apple isle. It seems
like every place we stayed in Tassie was better than the previous one and it was a great place to get comfortable with
driving the winnebago without too much traffic to contend with. Thanks for your prompt attention to our queries when we
first started out and hope to catch up soon.
Kind regards, Barry and Margaret
Dear Margie, Kalha and the GW team,
Thank you very much for your very kind gift.
We have, and will continue to promote GW, because through our experience, we know that you will do the very best for your customers. Margie, you already know the respect that I have for what you and your team achieves compared to the other much larger dealers.
We are off on Tuesday on our first BIG trip in the Winnie, heading up the centre to Darwin for 8 weeks.
Sincere thanks once again, Mike and Judy
Shame, Shame, Channel Seven for not telling the whole story.
You failed to show both sides of the story and have made the dealer out to be the bad party.
If your Motorhome breaks down and you are told not to move it you don't. It is my understanding that the dealer had made arrangements to assist this man but he kept driving the campervan after being told to park it .If you ignore directions given to you regarding assistance, the consequences are expensive and are of your own doing. We have purchased two Winnebagos from this dealership and have never been treated with anything but respect. We have needed minor assistance and been dealt with promptly and professionally.
Maybe you should review how your stories are edited so they show the truth. I question if the campervan owner was paid for his story!?!? Hence your skewed view.
Hi Marg,
Lovely talking to you today. I can't express my disgust at channel 7 and the way you were portrayed on their Today Tonight program.
I have had dealings with you for a number of years and have found you nothing but honest and sincere. I wish you all the very best in any action you might take against channel 7.
If there is anything I can do to assist you please call.
I look forward to catching up with you soon. Kind regards Dan
Good day Margie,
Just to let you know that you have our ongoing support here in SA. If we can be of ANY help or assistance, please do not heitate to ask.
We look forward to seeing you when David and Muriel take delivery of their unit.
Kind regards Mike and Judy Greenwood
Geelong Winnebago
After viewing the one-sided ill-informed expose on channel seven’s “Today Tonight” program, we felt compelled to email you, to offer our support as contented motorhomers. We purchased our $230,000 plus Longreach Winnebago in 2008 and took to the road after selling our house. Our experience has been wonderful and has given us such fulfilment and joy.
I take every opportunity to sing praises to our lifestyle with all its freedom and physical/psychological health – giving advantages. As active Palliative Care Volunteers we often hear the sad refrain of so many aged cancer sufferers who express great remorse at not having lived and enjoyed their lives more fully. After working hard, raising their children and fulfilling their duties to family and society, they expected to enjoy retirement together. Sadly, illness prevented travel far from city centres and medical services required for their continued treatments. Their travel experiences were frustrated, and so they have been denied the lifestyle we take for granted.
I feel the need to rebuke the T.V. show and it’s producer for its distorted and one – sided misrepresentation of the situation. While having sympathy for the predicament of the unfortunate couple, I also noted their lack of foresight and planning and their naivety in thinking their initial outlay would miraculously be their final one. Periodic vehicle services and contribution to a breakdown assistance service would have alleviated the pain of their experience. Similar to a household, periodic maintenance and repairs and buffers like insurances can save a lot of grief down the track.
Our criticism goes to the channel 7 report which delighted in pure fear mongering. A lifestyle, a motorhome manufacturer and a sales agent such as yourselves were denigrated because of the unfortunate circumstances brought about by bad luck, ill – planning and ignorance on behalf of the featured couple. Perhaps channel 7 should have focused more on the benefits of motorhoming or on the flooding throughout Australia rather than vilifying a lifestyle which plays a vital part in supporting the economies of such devastated areas.
We laud you stance in defending your actions. You seem reasonable people. Keep up the good work!!

To the Geelong Winnebago Dealership
My wife and I have been holidaying with caravans and motor-homes for many years, both in the U.K. and Australia, so we have bought many cars and RV’s over the preceding years. Since 1955 actually.
We can say categorically that the Geelong Winnebago Dealership under the guidance of Margy Lawler, far surpasses any other dealership that we have dealt with. The service provided by Margy and her staff is second to none and they make themselves available for help at all times.
The purchasing of an RV becomes a pleasant experience, especially during the hand-over, where every little detail is expertly explained. And the story does not end there because the after sales service is equally impressive. This is a business that endeavours to satisfy clients when embarking on the purchase of an RV and we have no hesitation in recommending Margie’s dealership.

Dear Margie,
Now that we are back in South Australia, we are very much enjoying showing off our new Winnebago to our friends and fellow motorhomers. In doing so, the most common question so far has been – “how did we come to make our purchase in Geelong?”
You will be aware that we first met a few years ago when we quickly realised that you were able to provide us with all the necessary assistance to help us decide on the upgrade of our RV without any pressure and in a very professional manner. Over the ensuing time we did review other large manufacturers to satisfy our curiosity. However, we found that we were easily able to ignore these manufacturers by investigating their construction, value for money for the features provided and after-sales service. One of the telling indicators was getting negative feedback from dissatisfied users of those brands.
In addition to the trust that we have developed in your team, we found that financially, with the trade-in and deal that you offered, we could not look past Geelong Winnebago. You certainly made purchasing our new motorhome a pleasant experience and given that it is a significant purchase, helped us realise that we have made the right decision.
Please feel free to use our experience as a recommendation of Geelong Winnebago as a place to buy a motorhome. We look forward to our future ongoing association.
Kind regards, Mike and Judy Greenwood
Hi everyone,
Just a quick not to let you
know we are really enjoying our nomadic life. The motorhome
is very comfortable. After leaving the cold Victoria we
travelled to Queensland where the weather was glorious. We
spent several weeks there and moved into NSW and to the
rally at Binara. 1000 motorhomes met there in hot dusty
conditions. Have been fossicking for sapphires and managed
to find a few small ones.
Regards and thanks to all

Hi Margie and Crew,
We have made it to Darwin!
It has been awesome – the Bago hasn’t missed a beat. Met
some fantastic people along the way and hot lost of happy

Thanks for all your help
Cheers

Hi Margie and Kalha
Firstly we would like to thank
you and the team at Geelong Winnebago for the way you
treated us and for the time that you spent.
Out trip home was quite uneventful apart from attracting a
small crowd each time we stopped.
Our first stop was at Winchelsea for coffee where it took us
about an hour to get going again. People were saying they
had never seen one before when down the road went another
Travelhome heading towards Geelong. The interest continued
for the rest of the trip and it really hit a high when we
arrived back home at the village.
Hope you do well at the Caulfield Show, best wished for
everyone.
Thanks again
Beryl and Bill

Hey Margie
It's Ken of Ken and Linda here.
Congratulations to you and your gang for achieving an award
at the recent awards ceremony.
We are currently in Batemans Bay on a brill little campsite
overlooking the Clyde river at it's sea mouth. There are few
things better for the soul than sitting looking out of that
large rear lounge window in the Winnie at either the ocean
or a large river like I am as I type this.
Because we were late getting started we shot straight up to
Sydney before we started coast hopping all the way up to
Cooktown so we missed out on the lower East coast between
Sydney and Melbourne we are therefore doing it now on our
way back to Melb for Xmas as a way of compensation and we
have already found some marvellous little places including
the one we are at now.
We are both looking forward to seeing you again sometime in
December for a bit of a catch up as we have a few minor
modifications that we would like to get done, which we have
discussed with Kalha and Shane and also possibly some minor
warranty work if we haven't had it done before we reach your
neck of the woods-----------so you still have time to go on
and extended holiday or leave the country!!!
Still like we said, bloody well done!
All the best,
Ken & Linda Staddon

Hi Margie and Staff,
Hope you are all well and not too cold.
We are at Elliot Heads just out of Bundaberg. The weather has been cool and showery for up this way but yesterday was a sunny 24. It is lovely to be surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and the sea.
Thanking you for your ongoing help.
Peter and Eva
Hi from Townsville,
The van is superb. It’s a warm 28-30 degrees. Mum is fine, the dogs are dozin. 4000km so far but will have to turn back soon. Going up to cairns then back home.
Love you all Daila
Hello Margie and Kalha,
Having a great time travelling around in our Freewind. (Photo attached).
All is going well, we have just clocked up 10,000k's! We are heading to Darwin, enjoying the warm weather. As the Freewind is due for a service at 10,000 k's, and there is no agent in NT should we go somewhere in Qld or NSW or just wait til we get home which will be around the end of October. Our concern is that our paperwork indicates that the warranty is void if not serviced on time. Please advise. Hope all is well with you, and GO CATS!!!.
Regards, Matt and Lesley Edwards
Hi Margie, Wally and Kalha,
Found this gem of a park! Shh don’t tell anyone 10/10 for facilities and friendliness. The BIG trek is going well enjoying out 1st free camps currently at Gletchers Creek on the Lynd Hwy heading for Cairns. CB’s a blessing as you need to call ahead to let the truckles know your coming.
Cheers!!! Sue and Jimmy
Congratulations Margie for your "sales person of the year award" at the Winnebago awards in Sydney. Truly deserved but I am sure you recognizes it is not without good staff.
We still love the Longreach and are currently in Normanton in Qld on a trip which has been up through "The Centre" to Darwin and now on our way home. Motorhome has performed superbly. Once again Congratulations to Margie and all at Geelong Winnebago.

Good afternoon,
About three weeks ago my partner and I were touring around Victoria in our Jayco motor home. We were staying in Geelong when a storm hit and our motor home started leaking from the hatch. We phoned a number of companys to try and get it fixed including Jayco Geelong. No luck, no-one would even look at our motor home. After numerous phone calls, eventually we contacted Winnebago Geelong and spoke to Shane Blake, he said he was flat out but to bring it in and he would look at it for us. Shane and his work partner (not sure of his name) went out of their way to help us, it was pouring rain, they siliconed the hatch shut for us, were very kind and courteous to us and our need to get the hatch fixed. We would sincerely like to thank them for their time when no one else in the area would even look at our motor home. Their time and effort was very much appreciated by us both. Could you pass on our thanks to them both and let them know that we ran into a few more storms on our way home to perth and the silicone is still in place and no leaks.
Kind regards, Marilyn Congdon and Ian Douglas
